Autonomy North Americas god
Wonderment at what God has done in creation, redemption and salvation is lost and unknown in mankind due to the prevalent philosophy secular humanism (the philosophy that the chief end of man is man). We are seeing this philosophy fleshed out, flaunted before our eyes 👀 (taught in public schools by the way). As Americans hold to their autonomy when in reality there is no such thing for every man will stand before a holy God on judgement day as Isaiah says “ As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.” (Isaiah 45:23) . Regardless of this truth, autonomy is America’s god here in the present. This great sense (feeling based) autonomy is what will send so many to hell. For pride is the root of this high sense. “Tremble O earth, at the presence of The LORD, At the presence of the God of Jacob.” (Psalm 114:7) .
